Why should I become a member of the Motorsports Hall of Fame?

There are so many great reasons to become a member of MSHF. Your monetary contribution helps preserve the history of motorsports. Not to mention, we offer you great benefits! Whatever your skill, we have the perfect job for you. Volunteers should be energetic, friendly, and fairly knowledgeable about motorsports. During our induction ceremony, you will also have the opportunity to "rub elbows" with the biggest names in racing!

Why should I become a volunteer?

You will be part of a team of enthusiastic volunteers with one common goal – to preserve the history of motorsports. You will meet other people, like yourself, that love the sport of racing.

I have an item of motorsports memorabilia. Would your museum be interested in it?

We are a non-profit organization, so most of our museum collection comes from charitable donations. We are always interested in any memorabilia item that would be a unique addition to our museum.

The Museum Foundation has been designated as a section 501 (c) (3) charitable organization. Most contributions are tax deductible. We will gladly provide written confirmation of your gift for tax purposes.

I have an item of motorsports memorabilia. Can you tell me what it's worth?

Unfortunately, no we can't. We suggest you consult periodicals like Beckett Racing or Die Cast Digest, or contact a collectors club that specializes in the type of item (i.e. Indy 500, NASCAR, etc.) that you have.

How do you select inductees for the Hall of Fame?

Why aren't people like Tazio Nuvolari and Stirling Moss in the Hall of Fame?

The Motorsports Hall of Fame of America primarily honors United States citizens.  Exceptions are non-Americans like Jim Clark and Bruce McLaren who have made significant achievements on U.S. soil.

Can I nominate someone for the Hall of Fame?

Yes! Nominations are accepted from any source and passed on to our Nominating Committee and Voting Panel. Please include a 100-word biography listing all the major achievements of the racer you would like to see in the Hall of Fame.  Contact us with your nomination info.

Can I contact any of the Hall of Fame inductees?

About 90% of our inductees will accept fan or other mail forwarded by us. Please address your letters to the inductee c/o Motorsports Hall of Fame of America, 1801 W. International Speedway Blvd., Daytona Beach, FL 32114
